Hi, everyone!
My name is Jillian, and I’m from New York City! I’ve lived there my whole life! I actually, up until my late teens, viewed myself as a cosmopolitan-drinking, designer shopping character from Sex and the City. While I still love all things related to fashion and beauty (as you will definitely be able to tell!), I’ve realized that you don’t always need to have the latest Prada bag or Gucci coat to be stylish. It’s very simple to do regardless of your budget or taste!
I started out in college as a theatre major. It was a lot of fun, but I realized that being a professional entertainer is a lot more stressful than I expected it to be, and I decided on a change in careers! That led me to become a fashion major. I loved the classes, especially anything having to do with fashion history or fashion sketching. However, I realized relatively early, and after an eye opening experience at an internship, that the fashion industry wasn’t for me either. So now I teach, and I find that extremely fulfilling!
I started this blog because I wanted to help other people who want to try to cut out everything unnecessary from their lives, but who still want to look good doing it! Of course, not everyone is going to want to live the same lifestyle as me, but hopefully you’ll enjoy the things I talk about here! 🙂
This blog also won’t just talk about clothes and makeup. I’m an avid reader of all types of books, and I enjoy sharing my impressions of books that have really touched me!
I’m engaged to be married to the amazing and wonderful Milosz Kowal, and you can view his blog here!
